UH IDK what to reccomend! For games, Id always end up reccomending your basic shit: Silent Hill, Biohazard. ect. However, I really liked Rule of Rose, Galerians, and Dreadout. There others but man idk im so bad at reccomendations.

For movies, probably (ones I liked):

The Thing (the first one is good, the prequel IMO is good, its biggest flaw is the use of CGI over Practical.)

The Crazies (Both 1973 and 2010 are good films in there own, having different takes and endings, as well as how people infected act.)

The Cabin in the Woods is good, Probably have seen it by now though. But i love comedy and Lovecraftian level of horror.

House of Wax (2005) gets more shit then it deserves. Its not THAT bad of a film, honestly, and I love a lot of the gore and just the universe it is in kind of ><.

Evil Dead (trillogy + REmake + Series) The whole worse of Evil Dead is just so fun! The first film didnt have as much comedy as the later films, however, Both with and without the comedy it is just such a fun and well done series. The TV show is pretty hilarious as well!

Jacobs Ladder is another decent film. I know people bring it up cause of Silent Hill alot (for good reasons) but the film in itself is a really good psychological ride. You start to question different thigns, wonder what they mean, and even rewatching it you pick up on somethings you dont notice at first, or you figure out what the true meaning to events really mean.

Dead Alive / Brain Dead is another comedy horror. its more comedy then horror. But still, has some good practical effects and scenes, and thats one of my favorite thigns about horror films!

The Orphanage is kind of akin to Rule of Rose, but not at the same time. A spanish film (people have told me it is in english dub as well, but I never seen a copy before). Has some nice jump scenes.

>< Those are my recommendations I guess.

Last Rec: This is for books. There are a LOOOOOT of lovecraftian type books I could recommend for you, but IDK who is into that type of stuff really. So I will recommend the NEXT best thing: FEAR STREET! The Fear Street books are quick reads (often I find 2 page chapters in them) and they appear in the Young Adult series, so you would think 'huh, must be like Goosebumps and pretty kiddish". Not at all, they are pretty good in terms of like 80s slasher film level of books. I often just have a fun time rereading them, sometimes they are silly, often times it serious. People do die in horrific ways in these books :O So its worth a read~!
