HELLO FRIEND do you have a minute to talk about Lychee Light Club
At its heart, Lychee Light Club (and its just-as-good prequel, Our Light Club) is a story about adolescence and the fears it brings with it. Because it's scary, being a 14-year-old boy. Your life is changing, your body's changing, you're discovering girls or boys or your ambition to create an unsettlingly Nazi-esque club/cult, build an invincible fruit-powered robot, and brutally murder people.
Yeah.
I'm not going to say too much else about what happens, because I don't want to spoil the plot - although I do want to warn that there's a brief underage sex scene and an implied rape, in case those are reasons you'd want to stay away. If they aren't, then Lychee Light Club is definitely a manga worth checking out. I'd recommend the official translation, both because it's great and because the last time I tried to read this online the chapters were all in the wrong order, but however you do it, let me know what you think!
