I'm boring and Umineko/Higurashi is all I can really think of too, along with Dangan Ronpa. They're all good if you like VNs~

Maybe Drakengard sort of counts, but that's more a "That in the world is happening?!" type thing, haha. The LP of the series by the Dark ID is really funny, to experience it without playing it. I have a soft spot for actually playing the games, but... it's not hard to see why people wouldn't, haha. Still worth experiencing just for how plain strange it gets.

Don't know about animanga, but I can totally recommend you some Japanese RPG Maker horror games, like The Witch's House, Mad Father or my recent fave, Blank Dream. You can find them translated to English on VGPerson's website.

My two go-to horror recs are Gakkou Gurashi and Kuro! Uuuh let me copy paste the text I gave last time ...

Gakkou Gurashi is really good and honestly not really that scary, but I really love it's take on the zombie genre! (I suppose thats a small spoiler for the first bit, but you'd have figured it out since I'm giving it as a horror rec, haha...) I definitely rec the manga over the anime - not because the anime's bad, but it's different on some serious plot points I really loved the manga for. But your choice.
I'll also rec this weird little series called Kuro - it's by Somato, and you'll probably need that bit in there to find chapters. It's a webcomic about a girl and her black cat and their daily life - except things aren't really that straightforward. It's definitely creepy-cute and has a lot of fun mystery elements!

oooh a zombie manga? i do typically like manga better, but if i like one i'll probably check out the other too lmao. ah yeah, i'm glad you mentioned the author... i already know a search probably would have turned up a bunch of unrelated stuf lmao ;w; i love creepy cute too so i'm excited for both ofthese! ty for the recs!
